The role of the Provisioning Technician is to build/operation/maintain/decommission of layer 1-2 core network products and services including MPLS. VPN, DIA, ILC and CPE configuration. The objective of the role is to successfully deploy solutions or products for Clients to agreed timescales, budgeted costs and the required quality levels and to provide technical knowledge of delivery of services to client and internal teams. As a subject matter expert (SME), interaction with 3 rd party suppliers and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues is a requirement. The role need to perform queue management, service management and customer interaction throughout the lifecycle of delivery and ensures the successful handover on final acceptance.
SME for a product or technology concern and require to formulate documentation and process. You are required to ensure orders within the provisioning are delivered correctly and on time
Network build/Operate and Maintain/Decommission of PE and CE devices.
Provide timely resolution of trouble tickets and escalation within a defined SLA
Perform circuit testing, troubleshooting with 3rd party telco and service providers
Manage queue performance per workflow process in a timely manner, On-time delivery
The role requires a significant ability to manage personal workloads in an efficient and organized manner
Significant interaction with Vendors, Service Providers, internal teams and customer representatives
The role requires working well as a team. Working with, managing, and energizing others, especially in team settings or where quality of relationships makes a difference between success and failures.
Provide detail reports and comprehensive summaries on weekly, monthly of delivery performance
Ensure process are adhered to and documented on the internal share drive where necessary
Ensure post implementation, or post-live operational support are in place.
Improve operational excellence through customer ratings and feedback
3-5 years’ experience in Telecom Service Provider Environments.
Knowledge in Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent, Nortel, Cisco and Juniper routing and switching equipment
Knowledge of transport networks – SDH, DWDM, Fiber, Ethernet and MPLS is a must
Working experience as a team in large decentralized organization
Demonstrated highly effective interpersonal and ability to work in a consultative manner
Ability to adhere to processes

Experienced in delivering services to clients ensuring Client satisfaction.
Fluent command of the English language is essential
High School Diploma or Equivalent in Information Systems
Bachelors or Equivalent in Information Systems
