VF Corporation Senior Manager, Production Planning in Hong Kong

Job Description


  • Establish the global strategic sourcing direction for capacity and supply planning supporting MHP at the country, vendor, and factory level allocating product aligned with Brand regional needs and vendor capabilities that ensure top quality product, at the right price, on time, and shipped in full per the customers’ needs.

  • Monitor and drive the vendor and factory performance against our KPI’s and adapt the sourcing strategies for VANS Footwear to leverage the Scorecards for Vendor and Factory performance for future allocation of production volumes rewarding those high performers that meet or exceed the KPI’s for OTP, Acceptance Rates, Quality, CSR, and other relevant Brand needs.

  • Build strategic relationships with all Regional Operations teams, functional departments, and key vendor and factory partners to ensure transparency of issues and effective communication.

  • Drive forecast accuracy improvements through higher level communication and connctivity. Be a true partner by evaluating best practices, leveraging opportunities, and resolving key issues.

  • Develop robust succession and employee development plans creating a higher sense of teamwork leveraging the differences and diversity we have within to become a more consumer and customer centric organization.

  • Collaborate within the entire VANS organization, ASO, cross brand planning teams, and corporate teams to drive One VF principles and deliver on the Corporate and Brand strategies.

  • Be a driver for “Faster Together” initiatives within the sourcing organization by working effectively across the enterprise.

  • Stand up new production allocation models tailored for Speed and Customization.

  • Create and maintain the seasonal buy plan updated monthly to reflect requirement and capacity changes

  • Own the seasonal calendars for buy dates and shipping schedule.

  • Provide clear roles and responsibilities to all team members and ensure that Maximizing Performance tools are being fully utilized.

  • Mentor and coach the team to perform at their highest caliber


  • University graduate with at least 10 years Footwear experience in business or production planning

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in people management

  • Excellent command in English (writing & speaking) and computer skills
