VF Corporation Senior Costing Analyst in Hong Kong

Job Description

Summary: Manage independently all costing activities related to apparel and bags sourcing, identify and coordinate cost reduction opportunities, run analysis to optimize costing process

Key Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Manage seasonal costing activities, negotiation with vendors and cost related analysis.

  • Take part in sourcing and purchasing decisions.

  • Be responsible for brand profit margin.

  • Ensure realistic prices vs product complexity.

  • Drive gross margin improvement strategies.

  • Analyze & review costing breakdown sheets and provide cost reduction proposals.

  • Provide detailed analysis of all components costs and support brand with multiple alternative cost solutions.

  • Create reports & presentations for Supply Chain Finance & for key stakeholders.

Job Requirements/Experiences/Skills

  • Minimum 5-10 years related working experience, preferably in apparel merchandising or costing analyst positions.

  • Degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Finance.

  • Experience in industrial garment manufacturing / buying office / trading company is an advantage.

  • Excellent costs evaluation ability.

  • Good knowledge of manufacturers operating costs across all Asian countries.

  • Good knowledge of relation between currencies and ability to monitor them in time.

  • Good knowledge on different textile washing/dyeing processes, printing / embroidery and embellishment.

  • Good knowledge of fabrics/trims and garment execution timing and cost.

  • Proficient in MS Excel (i.e. Vlookup and Pivot Table), Word and Power Point.

  • Knowledge and ability to build VBA application is a definite plus.

  • Excellent command in English and Cantonese (both written and spoken). Mandarin could be a valuable addition.
