Position Objectives

  • Full P&L responsibility for the offshore business of the assigned region of the Private Bank

  • Plan, control and direct the identification, origination and development of client relationships with ultra high net worth individuals in the market

  • Build a high performance client acquisition, coverage and origination team for the assigned market


Marketing Management

  • Define target market for Private Banking Services; determine trends in clients’ needs in the market and develop marketing and product enhancement strategies

  • Interact with other Citi entities on and offshore to organize utilization of products/services and to enhance the total Citi country Franchise in close co-operation with the onshore country management as well as regional product resources

Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary Citibank contact with Private Banking clients

  • Maintain client relationships within target market/business segment

  • Continually assess and reassess client needs and wants

  • Match Citibank internal resources, across businesses and world-wide, to clients’ wealth management needs

  • Attend joint client calls with private bankers to provide coaching

General/People Management

  • Define business strategy for the assigned market, and develop business plan

  • Monitor business segment performance against plan and competition and provide reports and alternative strategies to senior management

  • Hire, deploy, and develop professionally, relationship management and service teams (private bankers and associate bankers); implement process for planning, monitoring, evaluating and rewarding performance of team members

  • Supervisory responsibility for managing the Private Banking Business within the framework of established institutional policies and relevant local and US regulations

  • Establish an environment with appropriate focus on compliance and control to ensure safety and scalability of the business



  • Degree / Masters graduate with at least 12 years of experience in Private Banking, Markets, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking and/or Consumer Banking

  • Client-focused with excellent marketing and client relationship management skills

  • Experienced in running a sales team

  • Demonstrable sales track record and leadership

  • Skilled in driving both direct and indirect sales

  • Knowledgeable about compliance and requirements of regulatory authorities

  • Strong & influential leader
