  • We’re looking for a Documentation and Collateral Specialist to join our world-class team

  • You will join the commercial loan documentation team and support post approval activities relating to documentation and collateral administration. This team is part of the Citi Commercial Bank which specializes in providing trade finance, working capital finance and treasury solutions for the Small and Medium Enterprise clients in Hong Kong. Our documentation team performs the critical work of ensuring that documentation is prepared consistent with approval terms, local laws, and regulatory requirements. This team is also responsible for collateral record management, managing details of support providers, and handling of the government guarantee renewal process

A successful Documentation Team Head has the following skills:

Typically, someone in this role has the following experience:

  • Degree holder with a minimum of 5-8 years of commercial banking experience in credit and risk with strong negotiation skill, and direct experience preparing and review commercial loan documentation, and handling collateral administration functions

  • To check and ensure the terms and conditions stipulated in facility letter and security documents in accordance with credit approval and documentation standard

  • To review the correctness of executed documents to ensure perfection

  • To handle documentation and collateral related queries from various parties

  • To monitor and ensure the team to provide quality output within the agreed turnaround time

  • To provide guidance and on-job training to team members

  • To perform regular self-assessment activities

  • To support team head to review operation process to identify improvement and update process regularly

  • To work with in-house and/or approved external outside counsel in relation to legal opinion and non-standard documentation

  • To ensure compliance with global and in-country policies, internal controls and procedures

  • To take up ad hoc projects as assigned by team head

  • Familiarity with MS software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.

  • Good command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
