Job Description:

As an Analyst within Forensic Services you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of e-discovery data collection, forensic projects, provide advice to lawyers and case managers on electronic discovery and Forensic topics. You will also help market your group’s capabilities, working with the sales team to win new work.

You will help to maintain a technologically advanced computer lab using state of the art hardware and software designed to provide high quality services. You will be expected to keep current with all areas inclusive of hardware, software and methodologies to allow you give up to date advice. In addition to your expertise in data forensics, preservation, and chain of custody rules, you are expected to have a strong knowledge of the litigation process, electronic discovery, and the Rules of Civil Procedure. You will also be an outgoing team player, collaborating with other departments to ensure the efficient delivery of overall client services.

  • Carry out client engagements on forensic data preservation, collection, data filtering, forensic analysis especially the following phases: planning, execution, completion, and follow-up.

  • Ensure the collection of electronic evidence and chain of custody processes are achieved consistently with industry best practices.

  • Carry out work onsite regularly in Hong Kong and other Asia countries.

  • Maintain current knowledge within Forensic examination, and e-Discovery data collection.

  • Maintain a close relationship with other departments, including Client Services and Production (data processing) to ensure an efficient delivery of data from collection to processing, with accurate and timely status reporting.

Essential Skills

  • Native mandarin speaker and professional level fluency in English required.

  • 1-3 years relevant experience in either eDiscovery, Computer Forensics, IT Support, IT Security, or similar.

  • Professional client facing and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer studies, engineering or related.

  • Be able to travel within short notice within Asia countries and expected at least 30% travel.

  • Enthusiastic team player with strong interest in exploring opportunities in eDiscovery / Computer Forensics / Technology.

Technical Skills

  • Solid experience on file systems, operating system, (Windows, OSX, and Linux), storage, and networking environment.

  • Strong understanding of email systems including Microsoft Outlook/Exchange, Lotus Notes/Domino, Unix mail, etc.

  • Experience in dissembling and assembling of computer hardware.

  • Experience with the computer forensic / eDiscovery software and hardware such as Encase, X-Ways, FTK, Nuix, Relativity, write-blockers, forensic duplicators or similar tools is preferred but NOT REQUIRED.

  • Appropriate industry certifications such as EnCE, CFCE, CISSP, CFE or CCE is preferred but NOT REQUIRED.
