  • This

role aims to highlight the business benefits customers see in the deployment of

Oracle’s cloud technologies. Specifically, the role will operate

within a cross functional team and work with customers to illustrate the

advantages of telling their stories. We aim to create value for both

our customers and Oracle through a programmed approach.

  • This

position will drive a fully integrated communications agenda around Oracle

customers’ use of cloud technologies as well as promoting and protecting

Oracle’s wider brand and reputation.

  • Tightly

linked with Marketing and Sales functions, the role will create, integrate and

co-ordinate execution of communications programs working alongside customers

and other functions.

  • As a

key role within Oracle APAC Communications, this position will report to the

Communications Director, APAC. This position is based in Singapore and will

require some travel within the region.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Set the

PR & communications strategy to support Oracle’s customer


  • Provide

expert counsel in combining traditional and social/digital/video communications

programs into a single cohesive approach to build credibility and demonstrate


  • Develop

and manage a growing community of strong customer advocates. Plan, develop and

provide content for advocates to share and encourage their digital/social


  • Drive

measurable collaboration to ensure key communications plans, narratives and

content deliverables are used to maximum effect.

  • Work

with multiple stakeholders to identify customers, highlight benefits, create

trust, agree programmed activities and deliver value to our customers and to


  • Provide

content for country teams to be able to effectively progress Oracle’s customer

value story

  • Monitor

competition activity and recommend programme improvements.

Skills & Competencies

  • This

role must be filled by an outstanding professional, passionate about

communications and delivering results, with minimum 6 years’ experience. Some

of this time should have been in a leadership role within a corporate entity or

a leading communications agency

  • Excellent

strategic planning skills; a solid understanding of the B2B technology

industry; deep understanding of traditional and social/digital techniques and

campaign planning

  • Experience

of working within a global enterprise, partnering with highly matrixed

inter-connected teams across marketing, sales, social and global/regional


  • High

degree of personal initiative, collaboration and strong written communications

are critical skills

  • The

successful candidate will have a deep understanding of how technology is

shaping and advancing the everyday lives of individuals as well as

organisations – and demonstrated skills in applying that understanding to

successful communications. More importantly they will be able to

apply their technical understanding, developing thought leadership topics to

make the subjects accessible to non-technical audiences

  • Over

and above specialist skills the candidate must demonstrate drive, initiative,

common sense and a get-up-and-go attitude to be successful in this

role. Degree qualification is not required. Drive

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
