You’ll assume

responsibility for selling consulting services with a specific focus

on Oracle Retail solutions, into the Japac (Japan and Asia Pacific) region.


  • Reports to the RGBU Consulting SeniorDirector for Japac

  • Works collaboratively with Oracle’sdirect or channel sales teams, industries, support & business supportfunctions to achieve professional services bookings.

  • Engages in external relations withcustomers and partners

Job tasks andresponsibilities

  • Lead & manage consulting salesactivities in your location for Retail opportunities

  • Drive the bookings for both mainstreamand new business

  • Perform overall pipeline management foryour territory

  • Fulfil bookings quota allocated toyour territory

  • Drive the opportunity management processfor your clients/prospects

  • Drive the bid management processfor clients/prospects

  • Ensure success of each engagement bothfinancially and from a customer satisfaction viewpoint

  • Meet the allocated bookings quota – bothfor mainstream and for overlayed new business

  • Identity new customer opportunitiesoutside of existing Licence Team pipe

  • Identity, establish and lead campaigns todrive the acquisition of new customers, and programs to target existingcustomers.

Skills and experience

  • Big 5, SI or Professional Servicesor Managed/Outsourced Services sales experience essential

  • Proven ability to sell cloud and On-Premise services tocustomers at CxO level

  • Retail experience is mandatory

  • Proven ability to operate in a networkedenvironment (matrix-model, multiple reporting/interaction-lines)

  • Perseverant, 'can-do' attitude (i.e.seeking multiple alternatives to 'get the job done' when the initialapproach doesn't succeed)

  • Problem solver who is curious, passionateabout results and highly customer focused.

  • Consistent record of success and careerstability are important attributes

  • Prior experience as a consultant beforemoving into sales is highly desirable


The in-scope region for this role is Japac

(Japan and Asia Pacific) and while the advertised role nominates Hong Kong as

the home city, other Asian locations may be considered depending on the


Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for sales of Oracle consulting services.

Responsible for selling the Oracle consulting services. Develops new accounts and/or expands existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment, or channel.

8-12 years of relevant field sales experience. Able to develop strong internal relationships. Able to network and develop strong business relationships with customers such that they turn to Oracle for their resource needs. Able to generate leads and submit proposals to the client utilizing a broad knowledge of Oracle service offerings. Able to generate consulting services and nurture and close the transaction. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
