The CCB Regional Business Strategy, Development & Planning Team supports the Head of Asia CCB and Senior Management in the formulation and implementation of CCB’s Asia strategy. The team acts as an internal consultant, provides thought leadership and works on analytical projects to address strategic topics at the top of senior management agendas. The small size and high caliber of the team drives a focus on high-priority, high-impact issues, including but not limited to:
Development and execution of a regional business development strategy for Asia CCB which prioritizes on growing revenues , enhancing branding & visibility , improving client experience and internal productivity through process improvement initiatives and strengthening employee engagement .
Identification and evaluation of growth opportunities across products, geographies and clients
Portfolio optimization and resource allocation
Organizational efficiency and design
Operating model definition and implementation
Standardization of best practices by way of establishing “Asia Rules of the Road” where possible.
The Associate will be a key member of the team, taking ownership of a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Work with Global Decision Management Team to design and drive analyses for improving productivity/internal efficiency such as RM Loading / Productivity
Analyses of client and financial data to develop insights that inform strategic recommendations
Research and information assimilation to solve complex problems and facilitate decision-making
Management of projects and programs across teams and functions
Preparation of materials for senior audiences, including Citi’s leadership team, Board of Directors and investors
Coordination of the implementation of high-priority initiatives and delivery of ad-hoc requests
MBA, Finance, Accounting or related Business Management tertiary qualifications
Strong track record of academic excellence
2+ years of experience in strategy consulting, finance or working on strategic projects within financial services
Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – strong ability to use big data and numerical information to make sound assessments and formulate constructive solutions/action plan.
Highly capable in data analysis and modelling within Excel (confident use of PivotTables, formulae, filters, etc.)
Experience with data analysis using programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Perl) preferred but not essential
Strong proficiency in power-point – ability to translate data into a business story for internal communication.
Clear and structured thinking and problem solving
Self-starter with strong organization skills and takes initiative once given direction/ framework to execute with minimal oversight
Strong communication skills, written and verbal , to provide clear, detailed creative direction
Independent worker but aligned to manager and business goals and knows when to check in to provide update to manage on progress.
