Senior Relationship Manager – Asia Pac

  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate a successful track record with Retail Platinum and Priority Clients together with a proven ability to work together with multiple stakeholders to deliver complex solutions and outstanding client service

  • As such the role requires a strong analytical approach to client strategy in order to execute in a systematic and measurable way together with leadership skills that rely on influence as if one had direct management responsibility

  • The Senior Relationship Management in Asia will report to the Retail Global Head of Relationship Management and the Asia Head of Investor Sales

Client Profiling:

  • Work with Sales and Client Management to fully develop Wallet and Wallet Share information to help identify gaps in product and performance

  • Identify Client gaps and or opportunities

  • Identify new opportunities as they arise with Clients and ensure Citi is best positioned to provide workable solutions

  • Anticipate broader client requirements and take ownership for specific tactical needs across the organization

Coordination with Sales:

  • Work with Sales Management to determine appropriate coverage. If needed, make any necessary introductions

  • Offer clients solutions to help them capture new business opportunities as they unfold

  • Introduce new product innovations to appropriate clients in a timely manner

  • Be focused on closing out specific challenges with respect to performance gaps with existing businesses

Relationship Development/Management:

  • Be responsible for a defined universe of Retail Platinum and Priority Accounts

  • Act as a central point of contact, particularly on any serious relationship issues

  • Be proactive in making Citi navigable for our clients

  • Build focused relationship strength with key decision makers

  • Aim to institutionalize the Citi relationship with the customer

  • Ensure we responsibly build connectivity between our senior management and client seniors for maximum relationship impact

  • Engage with the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in Banking to explore relevant cross sell opportunities

  • Ensure that clients have appropriate and prioritized access to the firms value added resources

  • Provide clients with appropriate access to other Citi services e.g., Business Advisory Services, IT Solutions, Government and Regulatory Affairs, CIB, TTS and Citi Private Bank

  • Deliver the commitment and focus from our key functional partners in Risk, Legal, Compliance and Credit, Operations and Middle Office

  • Partner with our Research teams in helping to determine efficient access to Research and Corporate Access

  • Work with Product partners to determine efficient access to thought leadership content and branding events

  • Engage in the review process around client Balance Sheet, Risk and Capital provision

  • Manage our client relationship needs in accordance with the governance and control framework of the firm

  • Ensure that appropriate information control and client confidentiality is maintained at all times

  • Be aware and current with respect to the new execution and reporting requirements across the business

  • Help to educate clients with respect to the changing regulatory requirements around their business

  • Make sure that client issues are resolved in a timely fashion and/or escalated appropriately

Qualifications

Experience, Skills and Capabilities:

  • In depth experience of Markets and Securities Services products, clients and business dynamics

  • Strong intellectual grasp of the industry and with the ability to anticipate and lead the organizational response to future changes

  • Strong track record in client engagement and interaction

  • Proven ability to work closely with senior levels of management internally and externally with clients

  • A pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately

  • Credibility, gravitas and proven ability to operate in a complex matrix of stakeholders across geographies and products using influence alongside authority to drive results

  • Superior problem solving skills

  • Ability to translate vision into executable plans

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
