The Director, Brands Activations for Premium & Select Brands is responsible for developing the strategy and pull-through of Premium & Select brand initiatives for the Premium & Select brands in APAC. This position partners with the continent operations team, the area teams across APAC as well as the respective global brand teams to ensure localized and on-brand execution in the hotels. In addition, this position will partner with the Premium & Select brand directors to align on key guest experience initiatives to develop and execute in continent. This role acts as a brand advocate in the continents for the Premium & Select brands.
Responsible for the management of the following brands as determined by the VP:
Premium & Select brands
Responsible for project managing the APAC-led guest experience programs for the Premium & Select brands
Education and Experience
Lodging industry experience is strongly preferred
Prior Premium & Select brand management experience required
Experience partnering with global brand management and marketing teams is strongly preferred
Experience managing and marketing brands is strongly preferred
Good presentation and communication skills
Ability to handle the complexities of working with owners and key stakeholders
Strong team player and ability to foster relationships and collaborate across disciplines
University degree preferred or qualifications in related field preferred but not essential.

Managing Projects and Priorities

Brand Strategy & Planning
Partners with the Premium & Select brand directors to determine brand-specific guest experience initiatives.
Partners with Area teams and key hotels to execute proof of concept brand initiatives, as needed
Educates/communicates on brand strategy, positioning, voice, strategic pillars and competitive environment.
Educates/communicates consumer insights
Acts as the advocate of the Premium & Select brands in continent.
Brand Performance & Development
Pulls through global brand strategies (guest experience) while ensuring alignment to APAC and market specific objectives
Responsible for the effective pull-through and localization of new brand initiatives in APAC
Partners with AVPs and other market resources and provides regular brand updates.
Constantly monitor brand performance and develop appropriate actions with the relevant cross function teams to achieve the brand and continent objectives
Operations & Culture
Works closely with properties and (Continent Operations) CLS organization to ensure on-brand implementation of brand operating standards, procedures, and brand operations-driven programs.
Provides opening brand support for key new hotels, coordinates with CLS and Area Directors of Operations and Marketing to ensure all elements of the ‘opening countdown’ including opening countdown, training, etc. are executed on brand. Provide guidance to hotel opening teams to ensure branded critical path document for openings and conversions are developed and maintained.
Provides input on the turnaround process for off-strategy hotels.
Partners with the CLS organization and HR to deliver talent strategies (as appropriate) for high potential GMs and Excomm leaders.
Partners with Leadership & Development team to ensure brand education and service training materials are up-to-date for on-property and above property teams.
Marketing & PR
- Responsible for executing customer-facing brand voice/collateral development, photography, etc. and ensuring those materials are on-brand
Growth & Development
Partners with Development as needed to support them in immersing prospective new owners into the brand, its strategies and positioning.
Works with Development Marketing team to produce toolkits and resources, conducts owner brand immersions and site visits to support development in securing on-strategy projects for the brand.
