The Red Hat Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our supporting enterprise sales team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will join a fast-growing organization that is at the forefront of helping customers guide digital transformation and IT architectures as they grow in existing or enter new markets. You'll be a crucial part of the customer experience and serve as trusted adviser in Red Hat's enterprise and strategic customer base, shaping customers' digital strategies, translating business problems into technology solutions, link those to the Red Hat value proposition and establishing long-term trusted relationships.
Primary job responsibilities
Become a trusted adviser within Red Hat's customer base; build solid, lasting relationships with customers
Demonstrate ownership of the technical relationships and sales cycle within a set of named accounts in your territory
As a core account team member, participate in defining account strategy
Understand current technology and industry trends; connect trends to customer value and Red Hat solutions
Provide timely pre-sales technical support to the sales team, through development of compelling proposals that address customer business problems
Research and write the responses to technical sections of requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotation (RFQs)
Educate prospective customers on the capabilities and benefits of the Red Hat solution portfolio
Work cross-functionally within Red Hat to deliver on customer and account team expectations
5+ years of experience in pre-sales or consultative customer engagement
Experience as a UNIX, Linux, or virtual infrastructure engineer, or as a middleware or software integration architect with a background in Java software development
Knowledge and experience with emerging technology in areas of application development (DevOps, container, microservices...), cloud infrastructure and management (automation, private and public cloud mgt, virtualization, SDN, SDS...)
Demonstrated success in a technical presales or architect role supporting sales teams
Ability to concisely explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and present key business and technical value for solutions architecture
Ability to quickly learn new technologies
