The successful candidate will be empowered from day 1 to help drive profitability for the business through a strong emphasis in finding opportunities in market inefficiencies and delivering solutions for the firm and its stakeholders. The candidate will possess strong relationship skills and ability to build relationships with sellside brokers and advisors as well as buyside fund managers. The candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, executing trades and managing our hedge book (including FX, Rates, Equity Indices, etc).OUR IMPACT Our core value is building strong relationships with our institutional clients, which include corporations, financial service providers, and fund managers. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIALAsian Special Situations Group (ASSG) specializes in the investment and management of a diverse portfolio of asset classes including private and public debt facilities including structured credit, high yield loans and bonds, CBs, distressed loans and bonds, mezzanine debt and NPLs in additional to private equity. The successful applicant will be the head trader for ASSG including Japan, China, SEA, India and Australia.• Covering all types of trading including buying/selling loans, bonds, CBs, public equity, futures/forwards/NDFs (FX, commodities, rates, equity indices; collectively our hedge book).• Working closely with senior members of the team in recommending investment decisions• Interface with external parties as necessaryBasic Qualifications:• 5-7 year(s) of relevant experience• Strong quantitative and analytical skills• Prior investing and/or markets experience• Ability to multi-task and be flexible to requests and deadlines• Strong attention to detail• Strong communication skills
