The Head of SMB Acquisition is the key component to deliver the success of PayPal Hong Kong, this position is responsible for developing and executing overall acquisition strategy that supports PayPal’s cross border trade and domestic businesses to ensure targets of company financial, new actives and strategic initiatives are delivered and exceeded.
Develop and execute SMB acquisition strategy to acquire, retain, penetrate merchants at targeted verticals.
Work with Marketing, Global Ops, Product Team to create an efficient lead generation and product cross-sell plan to increase merchant actives, deliver revenue targets and drive product penetration.
Work closely with Marketing, Global Ops and Integration to board merchant at an efficient and painless manner.
Lead to work with Compliance, MRO and Global Ops to provide and communicate resolution of UW, Restriction to merchant.
Analyse market trends both external & internal for actionable insights.
Manage weekly/monthly sales target against budget accurately and efficiently.
Demonstrate best-in-class sales and partner management skills and leadership to coach and guide the team.
KEY STAKEHOLDERS / RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Director, Small and Medium Business, HKT

WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years’ experience in business development and sales with is required.
Experience in Small and Medium Business and merchant acquisition are preferred.
Experience in e-Commerce / International trade / Telecommunication / IT industry / Financial Services / Payments industry is a plus.
Proved performance in lead generation development and successful expansion program over channel partners are required.
Ability and experience to manage 5-10 persons’ team is required.
Solid business development track record in a highly matrix organization and fast paced industry.
SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES:
Leadership, people management experience and ability to influence at all levels and work effectively across functions and geographies.
Able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Results oriented and fast learning.
Interest in analysing SMB products, merchants and market dynamics and strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position product to customers.
Creative problem solver always seeking business excellence.
Experience in managing direct sales (online and offline) and third-party channels.
Tech savvy with great interests of exploiting new technologies and solutions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills (in Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese and English) and strong organizational skills.
Bachelor is required, MBA is plus
