APAC Equity Derivative Middle Office is responsible for providing daily support to Equity Derivative/Multi Asset Group /Corporate Deriv business teams.This includes performing trade capture, lifecycle management, controls and reporting.The role requires high level of communication skill to interact with trading/sales team as well as other business stakeholders.

  • Provide trade support functions to cover Asia Equity Markets

  • Manage the life cycle of the listed and otc derivatives trades

  • Setup and monitor various control reports to capture any trade exceptions

  • Mitigate risk to the firm through reconciliation and break resolution

  • Document any process errors and work to close any operational gap

  • Work with various internal teams to improve controls front to back

  • Work with business analyst team to formalize all system and process requirement as part of change management or new product launch

  • Coordinate with Technology and Business Analyst Team on system enhancements, requirements, and UAT

  • Ensure compliance with regulations/laws/policies that govern our business

Qualifications

We are looking for Candidate who has a strong Equity Derivative background:

  • 5 years of previous experience of Equity Derivative Middle Office experience in client facing as well as trade support role

  • Fast learner in a high-demand

  • Familiar with the structure and life cycle of various Derivatives products

  • Able to foresee and identify operational gaps, desire to improve processes and implement STP essential

  • Proactive to escalate issues and drive change on process.

  • Deliver results and able to meet tight deadline deadlines

  • Good understanding on trade booking impacts on risk and P/L

  • Enthusiastic, whilst being able to be initiative when faced with an issue and be willing to approach different people until they get the right answer

  • Strong control and risk awareness background critical

  • Ability to work under pressure essential

  • Strong sense of accountability and responsibility for owning issues through to resolution needed

  • A flexible and hard-working approach is required as is the need to be self-motivated and driven

  • A good team member who proactively builds positive working relationships
