Project:

  • Equity Derivatives technology group in Hong Kong works on front to back solutions from Real-time Market Risk Management, event generation and processing as well as P&L explain and scenario analysis. At the global level, Citi has embarked on an ambitious to build a new market risk management platform, including new trading and post trade UIs for Front & Middle Office.

  • Delta One technology group works on front to back solutions ranging from order capture to execution and post execution allocations and settlements. Due to the vast nature of applications used, the technology team works closely with multiple technology and business groups to facilitate the business needs in the region.

  • Combined, it is probably the largest growth area within Equities within Citi right now and Asia business are leading many of the initiatives and so this represents an opportunity to join a team and a business that is investing in some of the very latest technology available on the street.ObjectiveThis position represents a senior programme manager, who can partner with the regional Front and Middle Office business sponsors to ensure a smooth, transparent and controlled programme of work is delivered to the two businesses. Communication of the global strategy and priorities is critical and as such, product knowledge in this area is particularly important.

Qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive and manage a cross-platform, cross-functional book of work for key, regionally focused stake-holders, including Front Office, Middle Office, Market Risk, Product Control, Audit, Compliance and Quantitative development groups.

  • Orchestrate and ensure participation of regional governance processes across Derivatives & Delta One streams.

  • Ensure key regulatory, country level controls are adhered to across defined Asia Pacific countries where derivatives platforms are hosted or used.

  • Ensure development teams and platforms comply with all internal and externally defined controls criteria within the region.

  • Define and execute hardware footprint location strategies in-line with cost and deliverable targets.

  • Provide oversight and a point of escalation for critical production issues.

  • Define and execute ongoing stability strategies for key applications, representing the development group in regional and global forums.

  • Deputize for the regional development & technical product leads, acting as a single point of contact and escalation for all internal groups.

  • Select, track and oversee key deliverables to completion across streams for executive level reporting.

  • Build and maintain relationships with departmental heads across the Business Unit Management, Risk, Audit, Compliance, Legal, and Trading functions.

  • Partner with development managers across Equities to influence and shape the strategic book of work.

  • Drive regional hiring and resourcing processes, including participation in location strategy discussions.

  • Represent and communicate Delta One & Derivatives technology strategy to regional leads.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong background in running multiple complex projects

  • Strong knowledge of Asian Equity markets

  • Fast learner who is able to build meaningful business relationships quickly

  • Ability to work in a global organisation and understand matrix management structure.

  • Experience in order management systems, familiarization with DMA technology, exchange connectivity a plus

  • Experience running programmes of work delivering into the Equity Derivative space, specifically where re-design and evolution has been the focus, would be a significant plus

  • Ability to work cohesively in a complex project environment with stakeholders both regionally/globally.

Business Skills and Experience:

  • 10 years + strong experience in the relevant field

  • A sound knowledge on the various business processes and flows in Delta One/Equity Derivatives (flow & structure)

  • Senior contributor who could work closely with senior business partners

  • Ability to work in a complex environment dealing with various teams including front/middle/back office businesses and technology, compliance, finance, product control, risk management and vendors.

Language Ability:

  • Good communication skills in English

Qualifications:

  • An engineering degree preferably in computer science/engineering
