The role of a Regional Implementation Manager is to project manage and the central point of contact for any securities client on-boarding activities. He/she is responsible for the planning and coordinating implementations of new and incremental securities services business; fund manager and mandate restructures, and client exits.

  • Lead implementation activities covering each securities and funds services onboarding/transitions. Identify roles and responsibilities of key parties in each project, ensure all parties are accountable for their tasks and progress as planned. Escalate outstanding issues in a timely manner

  • Act as the single point of contact to clients’ contact involved in implementation. Manage and coordinate the overall implementation process including account opening and entitlements to deliver client desired services. Manage tasks to shorten cycle time and accelerate generation of revenues. Handhold clients in fulfilling markets account opening documentations

  • Lead internal resources across functions (operations, systems, and products management), to complete implementations on time

  • Arrange handover of the client service requirements to Client Servicing Team for seamless transition upon successful completion of transition activities, and post implementation review. Coordinate transition activities with all internal and external parties and report to clients

  • Provide feedback on current processes and be a member to contribute to process improvement initiatives, if appropriate

  • Map out and coordinating different steps/tracking deliverables on Project, coordinating with account opening to different virtual teams across the business

  • Manage onboarding of simple to complex transitions that span from account opening in various market to custody to fund accounting implementation across different products

  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with operations teams, product, business, technology and other stakeholders to ensure resolution is tracked to resolve problems effectively/drive issue resolutions when onboarding clients


  • Solid knowledge of banking products and operations, preferably securities related services

  • Solid work experience of a minimum of 5 years in a securities operations/client service/implementations role

  • Solid experience of client onboarding , assets transition and account opening activities preferred

  • Demonstrated exposure across wider range of the product lines aside from Custody such as fund accounting, transfer agency, security lending, collateral management etc would be preferred

  • Proven track record of good people management skills, and energetic lead who works well across multiple teams and cultures.

  • Demonstrated success in relationship management in dealings with senior management and managing customer relations

  • Strong customer orientation and team player

  • Strong analytical skills so as to understand and interpret trends and data to make improvements

  • Good business judgment, knowing when to escalate, who to keep informed to identify appropriate next steps / resolution

  • Methodical with excellent oral and written communication skills, on top of good documentation and project prioritization acumen

  • Ability to work independently and overtime if needed

  • Good time management, negotiation and communication skills

  • University graduate

  • Fluent in English and advantage if have fluency in Putonghua and/or 1 other foreign language relevant to APAC region

  • PMP certified preferred

  • Flexible support hours; willingness to flex hours in project managing for clients in different time zones

  • Willing to travel, if required
