Job Description:

Citi is looking for a Business Analyst who has exposure with Lifecycle and Events within its Equities Derivative Technology team.

Key areas include:

  • Performing analysis on Lifecycle initiatives across the regional and global, and discretionary BoW (Book of Work)

  • Directly interface and work with Equity Derivative Trading Desk and Middle Office, Development and QA

  • Responsible for management of analysis, project plan, tracking issues and risks

  • Prepare and perform presentation/project status/governance reporting to interface with partners, management and business regionally and globally

Job Background:

The Global Risk Technology Team develops the front-office & middle-office technology required by the Equity Derivatives businesses, in 5 sites – London, NY, Tokyo, HK and Sydney. These applications cover quantitative models, market analytics, pricing tools, live risk and P&L reporting, external customer trade valuations and all overnight batch processing for marking, P&L and risk reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detailed business knowledge of Equity Derivative products and practical experience trading products

  • Masters level education background on mathematics and/or financial engineering

  • Experienced in managing SDLC project life cycles

  • Practical experience with Agile is an advantage

  • Participate in weekly project review reporting processes, including analysis and preparation of project dashboards, metrics, and materials

  • Play a proactive role in the promotion of project management methods and standards, implementation of good project management practice, and the monitoring of critical projects

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

5-8 years’ experience in a Business Analysis role within a financial institution.

Required Skills:

  • Strong written communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Able to perform detailed level analysis of business requirements and possess strong documentation skills

  • Detail-oriented, inquisitive and challenges the status quo

  • Ability to lead and work with teams across functional area, multiple locations and time zones

  • Partner with developers and users to come up with solutions to automation and collectively ensure successful delivery of effective solutions to the business

  • Actively identify and manage risks and issues, working with development teams to create mitigation plans and follow-through to resolution

  • Good team player and also be able to work independently

  • Eager to learn and self-motivated

Qualifications:

  • Degree Qualified
