Description

Product Development and Distribution

  • Contributing positively to the CPB Global Traditional Investments product development agenda by striving to understand the strategic vision of the business, providing accurate and forward looking analysis and generating new ideas that demonstrate a commitment to put clients first.

  • Partnering with the teams within CPB and across Citi (e.g. Research and Due Diligence and Managed Investment Sales) to coordinate and execute the end-to-end process of new product development. This entails fund onboarding, managing commercial negotiations with external product partners and coordinating across internal functional control groups to obtain approvals for launch.

  • Ensuring effective global roll-out of new products and optimizing the commercialization of the products across regions.

Sales and After-Sales Support

  • Providing sales and after sales support to ensure revenue growth and client satisfaction by:

  • Developing and implementing projects to improve the operating efficiency of the product platform (e.g. increase through-put ratios, improve ease of transacting);

  • Identifying best practices from other businesses or regions and transferring applied knowledge

Relationship Management

  • Managing effective and good relations with internal partners (Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk and Compliance) by:

  • Acting as owner of the product line and being held accountable;

  • Establishing excellent working relationships with external business partners as an ambassador to Citi’s brand;

  • Acting as advocate to senior management on all product management matters relating to product lines

Risk and Control

  • Keeping abreast of regulatory or internal policy changes related to the product and the business and assessing implications or impact to the business of such changes;

  • Partnering with key control functions (Legal, Compliance and Risk) to mitigate operational and enterprise-wide risks related to the distribution of the product line

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in investments or banking industry. Experience and specialized knowledge in investment funds required

  • Highly effective domain expertise and commercial instincts

  • Sound understanding of cross-border selling of investment products

  • Due to the global nature of the role, the applicant must have the flexibility to work outside of standard business hours regularly so as to facilitate interactions with other regions.

  • Has experience and confidence working with senior management, both within and outside of Citi, especially in formal settings (e.g. presentations)

  • Good listener who communicates confidently, clearly, concisely both orally and in writing

  • Self-driven with excellent ability to multi-tasks and deliver under pressure

  • Track-record of successes and accomplishments in prior professional roles

  • Capable of working independently with limited guidance; leverages network to deliver solutions

  • Protects Citi’s franchise with impeccable integrity and sound judgment

  • Strong analytical skills, commercially minded and able to exercise sound judgment

  • Degree qualified
