The Private Bank at Citi (CPB) is part of the Institutional Clients Group and offers a wide range of products and solutions, from investment strategies, to banking and lending, to trust and specialized services. The Private Bank delivers solutions to help meet the individual, family and business needs of over 8,000 ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients around the world, of which, approximately 2,700 are located in Asia Pacific.
Reporting to the Global Market Manager of the Offshore China and Offshore Taiwan Markets, responsible for accelerating new target market client acquisition and new AuM acquisition from clients from Mainland China and Taiwan. CPB is looking for clients who can start a new offshore banking relationship by depositing net new assets of not less than USD 10 million, and who have the potential to grow their accounts with CPB with significantly larger amounts of offshore liquid, clean and transparent assets.
Being in charge of The Private Bank’s overall new client acquisition strategy, including establishing new channels for our bankers to connect with UHNW individuals with significant offshore liquidity.
Working with offshore China and offshore Taiwan bankers to deepen the bank’s share of wallet with existing clients.
Assisting bankers in communicating our bespoke product offerings to our clients.
Broad and deep knowledge of the China & Taiwan markets and the mindsets of their private entrepreneurs, spanning issues critical to them/their families with respect to their personal offshore wealth including the economic situation, economic policies, and relevant country specific issues.
Keen interest and substantial experience in following Chinese state and economic policies and being able to discuss the above eloquently and in a value adding way.
Broad and deep personal networks in China among private entrepreneurs and other potential private banking clientele.
Very deep and broad understanding of other countries’ local and offshore capital markets, including fixed income, equities, special investments as well as currencies.
In-depth understanding of global assets allocation issues; and the ability to speak about these issues in a way that is easy to understand and makes high impact for the clients.
Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and public speaking skills.
Readiness and flexibility in terms of timing of travelling and meetings, as mandated by business and client needs.
Gravitas and the ability to build strong rapport with target market and provide in-depth expertise to clients.
Passion and ability to work with, and provide mentorship to, bankers with diverse background in a fast paced environment looking to achieve the highest standards.
