Position Description:

• Drive growth of insurance business through Life-Source channels and increase sales penetration rate • Develop and implement strategic plans relating to business under management • Prepare channel sales budgets, channel distribution expenses, and maximise channel gross margin and profit & loss. Ensure all budgets and company objectives are met and achieved • Allocate sales and expense budgets and KPIs by Channel, by Staff and ensure performance to required benchmarks • Track and monitor sales performance and adopt appropriate strategies to grow and enhance channel performance • Provide sales management coaching : recruitment and selection, sales activity management, channel management, campaign management and training & development • Ensure channel core disciplines and practices are implemented and utilised across channels to optimise channel’s productivity and efficiency • Identify new distribution opportunities and partners and work to secure new partnerships • Maintain good relationship with all partners under management and seek long term working and sustainable relationship • Develop and implement all policies, procedures, and processes necessary to promote high standards for integrity, compliance and ethics • Manage and resolve channel and account conflicts • Work closely with service and product centers to enable effective execution and management of channel strategies • Plan and direct staffing, conduct regular performance evaluation, and manage talent development

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree minimum, relevant post graduate or professional industry qualification preferred. • Solid marketing and distribution management experience, preferably in general or life insurance industry. • Producer / sales management experience in life insurance industry would benefit. • Experience in managing life and/or independent producers would be an advantage. • Excellent command of Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and English • Transformational leader • Strong collaborator • Track record as an ‘agency builder’ • Trouble shooter/problem solver • Strategic thinker • Pragmatic execution focus • Aggressive and results-oriented • Ability to follow through to meet planned goals / objectives • Leads by example • Excellent communicator / motivator, capable of building collaborative relationships • Coach and people developer, capable of achieving results through others • Knowledge of local insurance markets and distribution practices
