GENERAL SUMMARY: The Finance Manager will oversee overall statutory, tax, financial close and payment functions, serve as a gatekeeper for all locations entity compliances. The Manager will responsible to drive process reengineering to improve efficiency & effectiveness. She/He will work very closely with corporate team to support company initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Statutory and Closing

  • In charge of all Tax and Statutory filing / audit required by local law

  • Oversees monthly closing, cashflow forecast, expenses review.

  • Responsible for monitoring Fixed Asset spend and disposal and Capex forecast

  • Review and ensure the accuracy of reconciliation on B/S items and P/L items

  • To ensure payment request are properly supported, approved and processed.

  • Ensure compliances of Internal control requirements, (e.g. Banking policy and Chop usage policy, Code of business conduct)

  • Partner with Coordinate Treasury / Legal and Tax department in all key initiatives.

  1. Planning, Analysis and Operation (Shared services)
  • Prepare variance analysis and commentary versus budget, prior forecast and last year

  • Understand business plan / growth strategies and work with teams to incorporate initiative impact into the budget and forecasts.

  • Identify cost drivers and trends to establish realistic P & L targets & measurements.

  • Coordinate and work closely with business partners to understand the cost drivers and reason behind deviation, and propose action plan for improvements

  1. Controls & Process re-engineering
  • Identify and implement on going process improvement and cost efficiencies for the organization and target to deliver process simplification and driving efficiencies.

  • Implement appropriate control changes in line with the Supply Chain strategy initiatives

  1. Build Talent by recruit, develop, motivate and retain staffs

Educational level and experience required:

  • Good knowledge in Hong Kong GAAP and Tax rules will be essential.

  • Experiences in establishing overseas new legal entity and dealing with Hong Kong Tax Audit will be preferred.

  • In depth understanding of Oracle Closing module will be an advantage

  • Previous exposure in Manufacturing or Apparel Sourcing industry will be a plus

  • Proven track record in leading an Accounting team to improve efficiency by process reengineering

  • At least 3 years experiences with Big 4 audit firm

  • for Hong Kong Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent

  • CPA or equivalent

  • A minimum of 10 years relevant statutory experience preferably in sizable MNC with at least 5 year in managerial level

  • High integrity and good communication & influencing skills

  • Good command in English & Mandarin
