VF Corporation Director of Product Supply in Hong Kong
Key Purpose of the Job:
Recommend the short, medium and long term goals for Timberland core business objectives, driving alignment with the anchor brand strategic business direction.
Develop team capabilities and structure, to enable process and system management to be maximized.
Key Area of Responsibility:
Build strategic partner relationships with Timberland Global Apparel associates in Europe, USA and Asia Pacific, sharing opinions with kudos/ gravitas – on current challenges with a ‘solution first’ approach to dialogues.
Lead the strategic resolution for our business practices enabling change and improved performance.
a. Create innovation in our business processes such as development calendars, vendor led initiatives, speed to market solutions
b. Link our fabric and trims organization (GMS) to lead improved integration between fabric and garment sourcing
c. Provide expertise on strategic sourcing for the brand needs and be masterful at communicating this to our brand anchor
- Strive to overcome challenges in optimizing KPI management, having the passion to do more than ‘just bringing in the numbers’4. Drive the long- term opportunities for standardization of working practices across the sportswear brands to support the One VF strategy. For example, functional tasks and strategic sourcing activities.5. Lead the development of the team, role modeling positive behaviors such as:
a. Challenging the status quo (asking the 5 whys)
b. Creating innovative working practices and connections with our associates, such as driving new learning experiences
c. Identifying and dissolving barriers to improve our business model demonstrating learning agility and creativity
d. Engage team members to strive to be their best within VF, including the virtual teams
6.Own the budget management of
a. Our regional office headcount working for Timberland
b. Link our budget management to our sourcing strategy and future potential moves of headcount to regional offices
- Stay abreast of current and future market opportunities, exploring external networking, that can benefit VF
