VF Corporation Demand Planning Manager in Hong Kong

Job Description

  • Drive, deliver and monitor annual budgeting and quarterly/monthly forecasting process, analysis and reporting

  • Lead consolidation of demand plan and forecasting process for all Asia countries into regional level

  • Liaise with Finance, Sales and Merchandising teams to develop long range and seasonal forecast, keep track assumptions and rationale behind and performance analysis to identify the forecast changes and gap.

  • Partner with Merchandising and sales team, manage forecast analysis for Asia region ensure forecast meet the brand footprint accordingly to new product launch, product life cycle, product mix, style productivity, phase out products and inventory budget and provide actionable solutions plan and root cause analysis.

  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Merchandising, Supply Planning and CSOM team to monitor monthly forecast and order booked, validate and make sure it is constrained correctly.

  • Provide demand plan back to the rest of supply chain of why there are changes to demand plan along with reasons why the forecast was not accurate

  • Provide analytical support highlighting changes of demand plan, forecast accuracy, trend, style adoption so to identify inventory impact

  • Lead dialogues with key counterparts in Sales, Merchandising, Finance, Customer Service to aid in understanding information useful in development of the demand forecast

  • Lead regular regional review meeting with respective countries to update market trend, business strategy and provide action plans and rise flags; share assumptions and analysis, risks and opportunities, challenges and sales performance review with management team.

  • Prepare ad hoc management reports & business analysis to support business decision

  • Drive forecasting process improvement and forecasting system implementation projects

  • Facilitate monthly S&OP process that incorporates input from various departments; ensure updated demand information is available and correctly reflected and maintained in system and reporting tools.

  • Successfully motivate staff to achieve goals; adapt leadership style to different people, cultures and situations. Establish rules and regulations to reward good work and mitigate performance gaps.

  • With the required people management skills, recruit the right talent for the specific positions, delegate downward by sharing responsibilities, and stablize the team during transitional periods by managing changes complexity and resistance.

  • Make strategic decisions, balancing risks and opportunities across multiple issues, involve key counterparts and track the results.

  • Understand cultural awareness, sensitivity and diversity when establishing strategic relationship with business partners. Build mutual respects and credibility between business and Operations.

  • On behalf of Supply Chain Operations Team, acting as key advisor for systems development projects relating to forecasting and planning, inventory management and order management, such as REVA, MEP, etc.

  • Identifying areas of improvement; building, leading and driving supply chain strategies, process and executions and therefore creating and implementing the best practices in VF supply chain.
