Corporate & Investment Banking in Asia Pacific is a unified coverage group that fully integrates and delivers Citi's market leading Corporate Bank and world class Investment Bank capabilities across the region. The Spend & Headcount Analytics Manager will report to the Asia Pacific CIB Chief Administrative Officer. The Spend & Headcount Analytics Manager will be responsible for partnering with Regional Finance and Administration teams to drive a myriad of expense and headcount related analytics and initiatives, as well as to oversee expense approvals and provide oversight of all expense control processes.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and manage a best-in-class expense environment for Asia Pacific Corporate & Investment Banking

  • Oversee business expense approvals

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and senior authority for all expense policies, processes, escalations, and approvals

  • Drive various spend analytics initiatives to identify and deliver efficiencies to the business, including streamlining systems and reporting; develop robust process for tracking and monitoring franchise spending

  • Work closely with Finance, Compliance, and other functional teams to ensure optimal alignment of control procedures; coordination of expense and headcount planning

  • Work closely with business management and banking team to instill a strong culture of expense management, including training, awareness, and education

  • Engage with senior management to provide actionable insights and trends


  • 10+ years of experience in Financial Services industry or Corporate Finance/Accounting role

  • Extensive experience in expense management/control preferred

  • High energy, strong work ethic and ability to work independently, roll-up-the-sleeves approach

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to work a variety of colleagues across the region

  • Proactive attitude; ability to demonstrate initiative

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred; Microsoft Access skills a plus

  • Previous coursework and experience in Finance, Accounting, and Economics

  • University degree or higher (MA or MBA beneficial)

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) required
