Job Purpose:

  • Transaction Origination: Through a solutions dialog, originate transactions across products, leveraging SRS’s global expertise

  • Partner with product areas to develop product offerings that address client problems

  • Interface with banking to increase markets dialog with clients, provide markets expertise into the banking dialog, and originate market’s transactions from banking advisory mandates

  • Partner with sales teams (across the Investor Sales and Corporate Solutions Group) to develop strategic dialogs with clients, focused where there are opportunities to use market products to solve client issues

Job Background/Context:

The team works across all asset classes with the goal of solving the needs across the Financial Institutions, Corporate and Public Sector client base delivering of an integrated solution, sometimes bringing together different product capabilities of Citi, other times being more consultative in a single asset class. The team operates on the private side working closely with Investment & Corporate Banking, as well as Markets teams and targets the C-Suite executives.

The team provides:

  • Analytical solutions, including a suite of Asset and Liability Management (ALM) tools

  • Accounting solutions, including structuring derivatives to meet hedge accounting requirements

  • Bespoke funding solutions with embedded derivatives

  • Liability defined investments modeling

  • Specialist content and input for partners across markets and banking

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Origination and Execution:

The role will be a direct production role, and will require the individual to meet clients on a regular basis with Banking and local Sales, understand the clients needs and originate new business and work with the wider team in the execution process.



  • Strong structuring and risk management background preferred

  • Knowledge of derivative and other financial products across all major asset classes

  • Strong knowledge of diverse range of financing tools available to clients

  • Accounting background preferred or knowledge of key international accounting standards changes required

  • Knowledge of banking (Basle 3) and regional RBC insurance changes preferred


  • Advanced degree or post-grad professional qualification preferred


  • Strong quantitative skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills as the role will involve dealing with many different parts of the firm and senior clients

  • Strong analytical skills as role will involve analyzing data and client information

  • Korean speaker preferred
