The Walt Disney Company Associate Manager, Talent Management and Development in Lantau Island, Hong Kong

The Associate Manager, Talent Management and Development will support the Senior Manager, Talent Management and Development to design, lead and assure the quality and timeliness regarding talent management and career development in the company. This role is also responsible for facilitating talent discussion with strategies of the company. He/she also needs to ensure the just-in-time talent readiness when career opportunities arise to meet business needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, lead and assure the learning and development projects for the company in support of business strategies and people growth. Partner with Disney University team to review the effectiveness of the Disney University curriculum and delivery results for the best talent development

  • Formulate and execute the talent management initiative of the organization. Lead and assure the quality and timeliness of the talent management and succession planning for the company. Partner with LOB for “buy in” and pull required resources to crate satisfactory and effective learning and development experiences for talents. Assist in the planning, designing and execution of individual talent development plan for the identified “people to watch” and “potential successors” for just-in-time talent readiness when career opportunities arise within budget

  • Design, develop and facilitate leadership related training and development programs that align with talent development needs in coping with the business objectives

  • Drive career development initiative of the organization to achieve vibrancy and effectiveness. Design and implement appropriate career development roadmap for each LOB of the company as key talent retention tool

  • Support Senior Manager, Talent Management and Development in setting and monitoring related talent management and development strategies to align with business strategies and people growth

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor degree holder, preferably in Training and Development, Human Resources, Business Administrations, Psychology or related discipline

  • Over 8 years of relevant and solid experience in managing learning and development functions, with at least 4 years focusing on talent management and development in large-size organizations or multi-national companies

  • Good managerial skills, ability to work independently as well as to work with diverse groups of people

  • Sound analytical skills, excellent learning ability and ability to adapt in a flexible and fast paced work environment

  • Good organization and project management skills

  • Strong business acumen and performance consulting skills

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office software e.g. Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Excellent command in Cantonese, English and Putonghua (verbal and written communication)
