The Senior Research Analyst for Audiences and Data will provide research support to CNNIC Advertising Sales team in the Asia Pacific region by analyzing, incorporating and consolidating findings from various research studies (i.e. syndicated research, proprietary research, digital traffic measurement, ad spend data and other audience research-related studies). Research deliverables are in a form of both PowerPoint presentation and excel. He/She will also involve in all stages of customized research projects.

Job responsibilities:

-Handle ad hoc requests from Ad Sales team. Using the most appropriate research information and analysis software to demonstrate CNN's effectiveness and benefits to clients/advertisers. Integrating research resources and creating presentations that support CNN AdSales proposals.

-Involve in customized research projects (e.g. ad effectiveness studies and other projects as required), from checking online questionnaire to data analysis stage)

-Prepare regular digital traffic reports and assist on traffic measurement / reporting of advertisement feature sites or CNN web sites using Adobe R&A (Omniture), comScore and related software

-Prepare regular reports for Ad Sales team (e.g. Ipsos, Adex monthly etc.) through analysis and interpretation of syndicated data source


-University degree or above. Some specialization in relevant fields, such as quantitative analysis, statistics, media, advertising an advantage.

-5+ years’ experience in quantitative research, preferable in media industry experience (via a research company, media owner or media agency)

-High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

-Fluent in spoken and written English

-Knowledge of pan-regional media studies such as Ipsos Affluent Survey an advantage

-Familiarity with IMS, Telmar or similar analysis software an advantage

-Knowledge of digital traffic measurement and metrics (e.g. Adobe Reports & Analytics, comScore, Google Analytics, Nielsen Digital Ratings etc.) an advantage

- Proactive

- Able to work independently under tight deadlines
