within the execution area of equities IT developing and maintaining an in-house application that supports manual & automated trading, including DMA and algorithmic trading
develop front end using WinForms and the server side processes in java, focus will be split between UI and Server development, mostly building and configuring the business flow and logic and feeds to the UI
capture, design and deliver functionality to the front office working with other members of the team based in Stamford, Hong Kong, London and Poland

You’ll be working in the Equities IT development team, this team is global facing, and the primary focus will be on the users within region.
Development follows the Agile sprint methodology, delivering a book of work on a daily/weekly basis.
You will be joining our growing global team interfacing with the traders using our application suite.
You will be situated in our Hong Kong office, working closely with the traders in a high energy front-office environment.
Your experience and skills:
excellent core java development skills including commercial experience and experience with the integration between java and C# and understanding of the concepts of distributed applications
excellent .net UI Winforms development skills including commercial experience and client server development techniques
experience working in a trading floor environment and have interfaced directly with the traders you support
experience with full project life-cycle, including capturing requirements, code-reviewing, unit testing and test driven development, and agile software development methodologies
prior experience of 2nd Line support and are methodical and quick when problem solving
highly committed, and able to build very close working relationships with both the business and support teams
proactive in driving technical initiatives through the organization, working with business and technical colleagues to arrive at optimal solutions for complex business requirements, often involving several systems and component parts of those systems
able to deliver from conception through to production streamlined, high-availability, high-performance, high-quality, well-tested and easy-to-support software in a timely manner
accountable and have a strong sense of ownership of your system and will continually strive to improve it. You will be proactive about addressing any deficiencies, risks and stability problems by helping to develop & refine software, tools, processes, procedures and documentation
