Job Description

  • All aspects of Human Resources Operations for Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macau offices, including employment risk management, employee relations, policy development, implementation and interpretation, immigration application process, and full oversight of payroll, benefits administration, MPF provider and company insurance for Hong Kong based staff.

  • Partner with HR teams to resolve issues relating to employment risk, policy, and benefits for employees

  • Provide guidance and advice on policy matters, clarifying intent as necessary

  • Manage benefits for Hong Kong based employees in an accurate and timely manner including:

  • Employee income tax process administration

  • All types of leave administration

  • Employee benefits administration

  • Oversee voluntary/involuntary termination process

  • Advise line managers on any risks

  • Ensure severance/termination decision meets with statutory requirements, calculations are accurate, release agreements are appropriate

  • Manage HR information system and the company's HR web portal

  • Oversee the proper record filing of employee related documentations

  • Support in the preparation of offer letters, resignation acknowledgement letters, transfer agreements, employment certification letters, leave of absence letters, visa letters etc.

  • Participate in regional policy and program development and drive implementation

  • Review and monitor on Human Resources K.P.I.'s such as employee absenteeism and turnover, annual leave accruals, etc. for business lines and initiate appropriate action in relation to K.P.I. trends

  • Adhere to the company’s code of conduct, environmental, health and safety requirements

Job Requirements

  • University graduate in Human Resources Management, or equivalent, with at least 10 years’ experience gained within MNC, previous engineering professional consulting experience will be a definite advantage

  • Excellent communication skills will be essential for you to succeed in this role

  • Strong knowledge of local employment laws (Hong Kong, Mainland China & Macau)

  • Prior HR Information system user experience such as Oracle HR is advantageous

  • Lesser experience will be considered for the Assistant Manager, Human Resources

  • Fluency in written English and Chinese

  • Good command of spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
