This position is responsible for merchant acquisition and coverage expansion in Hong Kong. You will lead the Hong Kong Global Merchant Services (GMS) Acquisition Team and be responsible for building and maintaining a merchant network in Hong Kong that aligns with issuers and card members coverage needs. You will be responsible for achieving targets of New Location-in-Force (LIF), Active LIF, Booked Charge Volume (BCV) by developing and executing effective acquisition and partnership strategy to acquire top prospects through proprietary channel and expand coverage through external partners; including banks, merchant acquirers, aggregators and external sales agents.
You will also be leading the team to identify, negotiate and manage existing and new partner relationships to achieve cost efficiency in expanding merchant coverage in Hong Kong, as well as driving B2B Acquisition and develop the B2B growth strategy in close alignment with Corporate Services.
Build and maintain a merchant network in Hong Kong that aligns with the issuers and card member needs.
Lead the HKG Acquisition Team to accelerate the signing of the top prospects and new industries penetration in Hong Kong to meet the new LIF and BCV targets and improve card member perception of Amex merchant coverage.
Ensure appropriate agreements are reached and in compliance with Amex and regulatory requirements for outsourcing of GMS activities such as Merchant signings, POP distribution, welcome calls, and POS terminal sharing in Hong Kong.
Negotiate service levels, ensure partners meet agreed targets and in compliance with Amex and regulatory requirements.
Develop, negotiate and implement acquiring and wholesale partnerships including Aggregator to expand American Express coverage by leveraging partners’ merchant relationship and distribution channels.
Develop appropriate administrative framework for measurement of partners’ performance; conduct regular reviews with established partners and manage all aspects of the ongoing relationship(s).
